world action day
by participating in the blog community, i became aware of the blog - world action. it is an initiative whereby thousands of bloggers write about a common, worthwhile topic: the environment. great initiative!
our blog, we are one world healing, is established to help heal the world/environment. this is its main purpose. i trust that anyone interested in genuinely healing the environment takes the time to register with us (free) and join our monthly 1-hour joint meditation/energy sessions to help heal the planet, its plants, its people.
somewhere i read that ’saving the planet’ should be renamed ’saving humanity’. they are right. the planet is likely to survive our disasterous over-& misuse of its resources. it is humanity that has to worry instead about the holes in the ozone layers, global warming, and the rest of it.
so, lets all do our bit to help save our environment, and let’s do it together. we are one world. it is now time to say no to paper or plastic shopping bags, yes to bicycles for basic transport, no to gas guzzlers, yes to turning off car engines in front of traffic lights, hurray to foods with reduced packaging, etc. etc.
it is the summation of our little daily choices that can and will save the planet.
sure, private energy consumption is just a fraction of commercial use. however, managers and politicians who go to work on their bikes, who buy foods in bulk, who recycle, and who make thousands of environmentally responsible choices at home are less likely to promote energy-misuse at work.
may you all have a great day.
to join our we are one world healing movement, you can register free on this website. the next upcoming session is october 26, at 9-10 am pst. the top left menu of this blog has all the details. we look forward to you joining we are one world healing.

#106 carnival of healing
hello everyone!
i am happily hosting this week’s carnival of healing. the articles in this edition address all aspects of healing. to read the articles, just click on their titles.
the entries for this week’s carnival of healing were very enjoyable to read. thank you all for contributing. while i’ve put my favorites upfront, the remainder of the articles are listed by category for your convenience.
**
my top 5
‘choose the companionship of positive people who inspire you’ advises author tupelo kenyon at http://www.tupelokenyon.com wisely. “life is too short to share your valuable time with people who drain your energy.” i love this ‘how to’ article.
healing occurs more naturally when pain is not thought of as enemy. the focus is no longer about avoiding, and instead about what is desired or allowed. www.loving-awareness.org ‘s article on the allowing of pain.http://www.loving-awareness.org/2007/09/01/the-allowing-of-pain/ is definitely one of my most favorite articles submitted. i enjoy reading it. thank you, author matthew spears.
on http://ananga.squarespace.com/ananga-living-by-design-blog/, author ananga sivyer in is stress keeping you at boiling point? offers three quick tricks to turn down the heat. i thought this was one of the best entries in the batch i received.
todd at ‘we the change’ (http://www.wethechange.com) offers an article the 5 greatest foods for your health at http://www.wethechange.com/the-5-greatest-foods-for-your-health/ a new blog with a good article. check it out.
author & researcher jimmy atkinson from the nursing online education database (http://noedb.org/library) offers a list with detailed of the top 100 health and wellness blogs. this is a reference page which you may choose to bookmark: http://noedb.org/library/features/top-100-health-and-wellness-blogs .
categories
holistic health
(food, nutrition, exercise)
jeni at www.savvyskin.com writes a knowledgeable article on how to prevent melasma (hyper-pigmentation) in her article http://www.savvyskin.com/how-to-prevent-melasma.
this is a real useful read for women who use birth control pills, who are pregnant or experience other hormone changes.
wellness
(overall well-being, subtle vibrational work such as reiki, excercise such as yoga)
kevin fleming from the satellite tv guru reports at
http://satellitetvguru.net/wellness-channel-launches-on-dish-network/
that veria tv, the natural wellness channel, launches on dish network.
spirituality
(god, angels, view on deeper meaning of life)
lori prokop at www.keyboardculturemovies.com offers an online movie “love and light are the keys to opening all doors of possibility in our world.” check it out at: http://www.keyboard-culture-movies.com/2007/09/keyboard_culture_vision_the_on.html
david b. bohl from http://www.slowdownfast.com promotes music for our soul in his short article at http://www.slowdownfast.com/blog/going-back-to-the-well-using-what-works-for-you-music-hath-charms-to-sooth/
self-empowerment
(overcoming challenges, how-to’s, anything that makes you say ‘good for them’.)
you got to love raymond david salas‘ article at zenchillcom.blogspot.com which explains how he used story waters’ 30-day-surrender technique to make ‘every day feel like my birthday’. check out “how to discover your destiny” (http://zenchillcom.blogspot.com/2007/07/how-to-discover-your-destiny.html) . i don’t know about you, but when i spot the word ‘destiny’ these days i usually click away as so much of that stuff is bowwowwow. so, while initially being ‘put off’ by yet another ‘destiny’ article, this one actually was interesting. intriguing in fact.
gamy rachel from http://www.mindthinksuccess.com/ contributes her article “is your mind helping you or hurting you?” at http://www.mindthinksuccess.com/brainwave-technology/is-your-mind-helping-or-hurting-you which is really part 2 of her post “your mind receives subliminal messages without your permission!” the article is this person shares positive events that came after practicing the law of attraction, which is always encouraging.
well, i appreciate www.whatithinkabout.com blog’s insightful article http://www.whatithinkabout.com/why-you-should-show-appreciation/ on why, when and how to show appreciation. thanks to the author warren wong.
alex blackwell presents us at www.thenext45years.com a list of ‘i believe’-quotes in
http://www.thenext45years.com/2007/09/i-believe.html that makes a nice, uplifting morning read.
bob crawford of www.bobcrawfordonline.com/serendipitywrote at ‘create your day the bob way! part one: your morning’ about one of life’s basic questions: “are we human beings truly capable of creating our own future?” he asserts that we must manifest our desires if we are to have any chance of experiencing true peace and happiness in our life. an interesting article.
other aspects of healing
(complementary therapy such as aromatherapy, other)
this article is a nice contrast to the above one by ananga.
marcella chester of http://abyss2hope.blogspot.com wrote in her article http://abyss2hope.blogspot.com/2007/10/overreaction-to-irate-and-clumsy.htmlhighlights various situations where people in authority respond irresponsibly to irate or clumsy behavior of others. this is a survivor of aggression’s contemplation of abuse of power. it stirs emotion.
author ada ozoh at http://www.menopauselifestyle.com contributes an article http://www.menopauselifestyle.com/blog/techniques-of-massage/ which explains the 4 basic techniques of massage and offers information about the use of aromatherapy in massage. in particular, it includes a list of essential oils that are useful during menopause.

golden rules: respect & compassion
by ziggy, a we are one world healing participant from chile
“i had another very nice visit from my shaman friend, who gave this very touching speech. i have blown up the golden rules and plan on reading them every day to keep my humble, love, peach and understanding. i will see you in the new garden of eve we are creating with our positive energy.”
=== shaman’s golden rules ===
father and mother
many, many light years ago, he traveled the universe enjoying all that he had created. he found beauty in everything and felt love in all that existed. yet something was missing and then he saw her in a dream. she was so exquisite and so delicate. she exuded energy, and healed all that she held. her colors were like none he had ever seen. her passion was so deep and alluring he knew he had to have her in his life.
for the next seven days he work on his masterpiece duplicating what he saw in his dream. every detail sprang forth from his fingertips as if it were a part of him. when she was finished he knew he had only to breath life into her and she would be his forever. sitting there he pulled all his energy to the center of his being, he went deep inside himself to his core and unlocked his heart. he opened it and poured forth his love, covering her and letting it seep deep into her being.
she opened her eyes and he knew from that day forward he would never be the same. life sprang from her very being, pure clean liquid poured out from deep, deep inside her womb. he reach down and took her hand and in a second he knew they would have many, many children together.
their children came forward, each one of them so different and so unique they taught their mother and father to appreciate the little things in life. laughter filled the air as they played in the paradise their father had created. his guidance and compassion made them strong. their mother’s love feed them and kept them from harm. they went forth and multiplied spreading their mother and fathers love to all their children, teaching them the ways of the oldest ones.
the golden rules they abided by were simple.
show respect for anything older than you, show compassion for anyone who has less than you, leave all that you touch clean and pure, put in as much as you take out, keep the door to your heart unlocked, and always remember who brought you into this world.
living by these simple rules seemed so easy and left everyone who followed them happy and content. yet somehow as time went on some people began to ignore these basic rules. the distance they created from their mother and fathers original intent created a distance inside them. the further away they got the unhappier they became. the unhappier they became the angrier they grew. soon they were fighting amongst them selves blaming each other for their unhappiness. they began abusing their mother, showing no respect for anything older than themselves, they had no compassion, locked their hearts away, poisoning all that they touched, taking so much more than they put in and forgetting who had brought them into this world.
their mother and father stood by and watch with sadness in their eyes as there children ran adrift. the children, feeling like lost souls were unsure of what to do so they got down on their knees and prayed.
“heavenly father forgive us for what we have done, in our ignorance we have abused our mother earth and in doing so have abused our self’s and the home you have made for us. please tell us what we must do to make it right.” from the heavens boomed a voice loud and clear. “it is simple, just follow the golden rules and the rest will take care of itself.”
“show respect for anything older than you, show compassion for anyone who has less than you, leave all that you touch clean and pure, put in as much as you take out, keep the door to your heart unlocked, and always remember who brought you into this world.”

#7: world healing: wishing wings for you, to dare
ha. this world healing initiative i’m launching from cannes.
i have connected with a new world healer amongst us, betty rieter, a local reiki master, for this month’s initiative. i tried to explain to betty how the universe seems to reward me in many healing ways for my efforts in this initiative. she goes ‘mmm’ (not sure what i’m on about) and i hope that i will be able to demonstrate it. and i do!
unlike my current town, vancouver, canada, the cote d’azur has been short of rain for the last 6 mths, and it seems that god is correcting it right now.
we were stopped short in our efforts by the beach because of the weather, and had to relocate to a nearby french cafe in old town — you don’t hear me complain . at the end of our session, we were rewarded with a glorious, bright rainbow arching over the yacht-filled ocean, landing into a brimming orange tree. it was a splendid display of nature!
if that wasn’t enough, betty started to make some encouraging statements to me, which i take to be for us all. “i wish wings for you, to dare”, she said, realizing that implementing some of our insights gained during world healing meditiations are sometimes daring to implement.
have a great month! till our next world healing event!

#7 world healing: collection of experiences
this month, i received several insightful responses to our world healing effort.
(i am posting their genuine (unedited) responses, as they show their reality in the relation to the event. again, it seems unreal to expect everyone to be ready to sit still for an hour a month from now till eternity. however, at the same time, why not? i am learning that many participants do a bit of world healing each day. many of us can find the time as it is such a blissful and useful experience, however, some of us can’t at all, for a particular month. soit. ce la vie, as they say in paris.)
tamsin collins from the uk wrote:
“thank you for the reminder for the world healing on wednesday. i had a great time, though i’m sorry that my geriatric and needy cat cut my offering a bit short, and insisted on her share.
during the allotted hour there was so much collective energy that it made the whole earth nearly translucent and to illustrate just how light the globe was at that moment, and could become permanently, several angelic beings took turns suspending it and spinning it on one ‘finger’, as if they were playing with it. they were absolutely delighted by our efforts, and our recognition of their help, to aid world progress. i have never seen angels express such pure joy before, it will stay with me. i was also shown several areas of extreme poverty to focus on, and was then reminded that several rivers (world arteries they called them) needed our energy and help to cleanse them in order to sustain all the surrounding fauna and flora.
what a great feeling to know that we can all really make a difference doing this.
i’m looking forward to the next collective effort.!”
manjeet kumar from india contributed:
“i participated in the world healing yesterday, and my experience was : in the middle way of my meditation i saw myself walking through the wards of hospitals flowing to the patients, thats all. namste, manjeet:-) ”
cowboy ziggy from chiile wrote:
“it was a very nice healing this month soft, quite and very deep.
was able to connect at the right hour so could really feel all the others there, around the group i felt a common theam one of compassion for all the suffering in the world and a healing of those needing a little support, saw children, old people, animals and the earth it’s self smiling. my heart was so full of love for all of you and all that we are doing to give back what we have been given by god.
“love and compassion.”
