résumé :la prise en charge spécialisée d'enfants mal-voyants doit comprendre
une évaluation des possibilités visuelles par l'ophtalmologiste. celui-ci prescrit
également le matériel approprié (aides optiques, livres agrandis, éclairage...),
parfois une éducation ou rééducation visuelle.
nécessairement pratiquée par l'orthoptiste, elle conduit à une plus grande capacité
visuelle pratique grâce à une meilleure utilisation des possibilités visuelles
existantes.
